"Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness. Delight yourself in the Lord; and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He will do it. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light and your judgment as the noonday. Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him." -Psalm 37:3-7There are quite a few action verbs in that verse. But the promise of His own action and faithfulness is worth any and all effort on my part. By His strength and grace, I will trust, do good, dwell, cultivate faithfulness, delight, commit, trust [again!], rest, and wait patiently...
Sweet Jesus time. Rainy, cloudy, dreary days. Work. Sunshiney days. Exorbitant amounts of coffee. Lotsa thinking. A fair amount of laughing and craziness. Excellent reads. Substantial and uplifting conversations with friends. Out-of-this-world parents and family. Continual surprises from Jesus! ....just a few reasons I'm a grateful girl. :)
a quick pic I snapped whilst I was outside enjoying the sun and it's amazingness... days like this make me long for summer and home and family time....and a good tan.
for those of you who roll your eyes at peeps who feel the need to take pics of their food, just...look away, or something. I simply had to take a picture of this deliciousness which is a newbee at Cafe 13. Mocha and Oreos?? Um.....I think yes.
and then, BAM! the weekend was off to an incredible start with the much anticipated arrival of these two precious people. aka Mom and Dad. :)
oh! and Dad brought me this! isn't it just the cu--wait--maybe "cute" isn't the appropriate word to describe Darth. still..... he has a special place in my office. It reminds me of all those times we'd eat popcorn and have Star Wars or Star Trek marathons. #ihavethebestfamily
We had SO much fun. Lots of laughing. Lots of talks. Lots of ridiculous silliness but not caring. We set up my new hive of honeybess [YES!]. We made cinnamon rolls together. We went to Starbucks [naturally]. We [me and mom] went shopping and drug dad along with us. He was a super good sport....sitting in the shoe section waiting for us and being all gentlemanly. Isn't he just the best ever? yes.
I love these two so very much. I'm very thankful for their kindness, patience, and wisdom. I don't know where I'd be without them...
Thank You, Jesus.
das all folks! :)
