Saturday.

A day when most people sleep in, hang around in their pj's, drink a cup o' joe, watch movies, go shopping. You know. Chill stuff.

I ain't most people. Besides the "cup o' joe" part.

I was surprisingly productive today, and [just a little] proud of it. I'm all done unpacking and organizing my room here at the V, and besides needing some decorative touches, I'd say it's looking preeety nice. This is happy. I need a place to retreat to...somewhere I can relax and just....be. Especially after full days of running around like achickenwithitsheadcutoff, pretending to know answers to important questions, and having crazy amounts of fun in the process. Seriously. Who loves their job as much as I do??

*silence*

That's what I thought. ;)

Side note: I also have a brand-spanking-new espresso maker in my room. 'nuff said.

I finished up my office in the kitchen! It's looking snazzy. A *shout out* to Mom, Lou, and Boo for putting together my new bookcase. Tis loverly. :) I have new pictures on the walls and new coffee mugs on the shelves. What more could I ask for?

I did the kitchen laundry (rags, towels, aprons, napkins, etc). Not all of it, but most of it. Guess what? If you leave laundry in a washer and dryer for over 7 weeks, things get interesting. Let. Me. Tell. You. But it's all good now. My friend Mr. Bleach is wonderful for situations like this. I'm keeping him close by from now on for all my "kitchen laundry" needs. Thank.you.very.much.

The food order came in today. *smile* It is so wonderful to have an empty fridge suddenly full of delish food again. The pantry, fridge, and freezer are well stocked for this upcoming week and I'm so pumped about all the tasty morsels I've got planned for V-town! *happy dance*

I can't WAIT for Monday!! I'm so thrilled to see everyone, catch up with people, hear stories, and start cooking and baking! There's a feeling, deep within my soul, that this semester [this year] is going to be one amazing ride with Jesus. I am utterly euphoric to be a part of it...simply brimming with anticipation. AH!! He's got plans, folks. He's got plans. You ready??

I'm thankful too. My friends here are beyond what I deserve. A special *shout out* to my fellow staff girls who make my life rich and full. You remind me what it means to enjoy life, to love HIM, to serve others, to make the most of every moment, to live for eternity. I love you girls.
